Valentina Coli, LLM Fordham Law School
My name is Valentina Coli and I’m currently and LLM student in International Law and Justice in Fordham University. I’m part of this program thanks to a partnership between Fordham and my University in Italy and I’d really like to make the best out of it. I love what I study here in Fordham, international law is one of my favourite subjects but of course it’s an area of law hard to define. For this reason, I focused on other related legal fields, such as Arbitration, Data protection law/cybersecurity and Environmental law. I developed these interests while studying for the Jessup Law Moot Court Competition where I also learnt how to write memorials and how to plead them before a panel of judges. At the moment, I’m looking for a position as a legal intern in a Law Firm in New York starting from September 2020. My current plan is to graduate in Fordham in May 2020, in Italy in July 2020 and then come back to New York to work and sit for the bar in February 2021.

Besides my deep interest in International Law, I also find very interesting Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Evidence, which I am currently studying at Fordham Law.
